Of Interests
CALI is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified consultant firms and/or technology providers to deliver data steward services for life insurance claims data. This includes data infrastructure development, data collection, project management, actuarial analysis, data analytics and reporting.

The project
The data steward’s role involves:
- Developing and maintaining a data portal, a data specification document and a data validation tool.
- Collecting claims and policy data from industry participants.
- Producing LRS 750 reports for APRA regulatory submissions.
- Preparing the annual industry experience investigation reports for retail lump sum and disability income claims, with a transparent methodology of the actuarial analysis undertaken
- Presenting the findings.
- Developing annual thought leadership reports and data summaries and providing periodic insights.
- Developing Australian lump sum and Australian disability income standard stables.
- Developing a secure data environment that enables CALI & CALI members to access and share the data for agreed ad hoc analysis with third parties
- Providing a dedicated project governance function for effective project management.
This is a two-stage process: an expression of interest (EOI) process to be followed by a request for quotation (RFQ). RFQs will be issued to shortlisted respondents identified through the EOI process.

To submit an EOI response, respondents must follow the instructions provided in the EOI document. Responses must be emailed using the response template to david.williamschen@cali.org.au by the EOI closing time: 6 pm (AEST) on 23 May 2025.
