CALI responded to Treasury’s consultation in relation to the FY26 special levy for the Compensation Scheme of Last Resort (CSLR).
The current design of the CSLR is unsustainable and CALI strongly opposes the routine use of special levies as a funding mechanism.
Our submission made a number of recommendations to ensure the CSLR is placed on a long-term sustainable footing.
