What happens next?
We will now start detailed planning, consultation and preparations for redrafting the Life Code.
For more complex matters, we will establish four priority workstreams to carefully consider recommendations on mental health, claims handling, First Nations and funeral insurance.
About the Life Code review
The independent reivew of the Life Code commenced in October 2025 and involved extensive consultation with consumer advocates, regulators, industry and people with lived experience.
