Since launching ReCALIbrate in 2023, we’ve seen first-hand the impact that investing in women can have on careers, businesses and our industry.
What began as a program helping women access the FAAA Congress has created valuable connections, leadership opportunities and lasting professional networks.
As ReCALIbrate has grown, so has our ambition.
This year, we’re expanding the program to provide more opportunities for more women across life insurance, whether that’s supporting financial risk advisers to attend the FAAA Congress or helping emerging and established life insurance leaders accelerate their professional development.
Women can choose the opportunity that best suits their career aspirations or apply for both.
The future of life insurance and financial risk advice will be shaped by the people we back today. ReCALIbrate is an investment in women and their ideas, perspectives and leadership that will help shape the future of our industry.

Women in Life Insurance pathway
Designed for women across the life insurance industry, in any role or career level, looking to build leadership capability, confidence and connections.
In partnership with Future Women, our Women in Life Insurance pathway aims to help women build skills, confidence and connections that support their long-term career growth.
Through leadership development, mentoring and access to Future Women’s national network, participants will gain practical tools to support the next stage of their careers.
Participants receive:
A 12-week program for emerging women leaders which includes:
- A virtual ticket to the Future Women Leadership Summit – two days of inspiring key note speeches and panel discussions in March 2027
- Master classes – live, virtual, expert-led workshops to advance your skills across leadership, communication and management
- Group mentoring – work through professional challenges and career opportunities with the wisdom of experienced mentors and a supportive advisory board
- Career development planning – establish a clear path for your professional future through a focused 12 month goal setting process
- Peer learning and networking sessions – virtual catch-ups to network and discuss workplace trends
- A 12 month Future Women membership
Plus, invitations to CALI events, including CALI’s next conference.
FAAA Congress grant pathway
Designed for women working in financial risk advice who may not otherwise be able to attend the FAAA Congress this year.
For many women, attending the FAAA Congress can be career changing.
The ReCALIbrate grants help women access one of the financial advice industry’s most significant professional development events, providing opportunities to learn, connect and grow alongside peers from across Australia.
Recipients receive:
- A $2,000 grant to attend the FAAA Congress from 24-26 November in Melbourne.
- Access to the CALI Women’s Executive Network
- Invitation to a VIP breakfast in Melbourne with CALI

Who can apply?
Women can apply for:
- The ReCALIbrate Women in Life Insurance pathway
- The ReCALIbrate FAAA Congress grant
- Both opportunities
Applicants will be assessed separately for each program.
How many places are available?
- Eight Women in Life Insurance places.
- Two $2,000 grants to attend the FAAA Congress on 24-26 November 2026 in Melbourne. You can use the grant towards any expenses that support you in attending the event. Read more about the FAAA Congress on their website.
Do I need to work in financial risk advice or a specific role to apply?
The FAAA Congress grants are intended for women working in financial risk advice.
The Women in Life Insurance pathway open to women working across the life insurance industry in any role.
Can I apply for both?
Yes. Applicants may apply for both opportunities and willl be assessed separately for each opportunity.

Our selection committee will read through all applications and shortlist candidates for an interview. You’ll hear from us by the first week of October on the status of your application.
When do applications close?
Applications closed on Sunday 27 September 2026.
When will recipients be announced?
Recipients of both programs will be announced in early October on our website and social media.
